Ten individuals are honored per year who are truly pioneering a new direction in M2M technology, including Isabella Products’ CEO for creating Vizit, the world’s first two-way photo sharing frame.
Concord, MA, June 15, 2010 —Consumer electronics company, Isabella Products’ CEO and Founder, Matthew I. Growney, has been honored as a 2010 P10NEER for being an individual who “champions change and innovation in the M2M (machine-to-machine) technology marketplace.”
M2M PIONEERS are selected from different sectors, and though they are from different fields pursuing various interests, ‘their drive to succeed and vision for achievement couldn’t be more comparable. Looking forward, the task at hand for these individuals is to continue forging new ground in the face of a changing marketplace. As new markets open up and customer segments expand, the opportunities become vast, as do the challenges. But what makes these individuals so unique to begin with is their ability to push forward and forge new ground in the face of adversity.’
For Growney, founding one of the first mobile Internet device companies was ‘based around connecting the unconnected’ for ease and convenience in consumer’s lives. By connecting vertical devices to the Internet, exciting changes arise for standard consumer devices. For example, the company’s first product, Vizit, is one of the world’s first two-way photo frames. To allow someone to receive a photo almost immediately over the cellular network was only part of the excitement; but, being able to reply to a friend’s photo by simply touching the frame’s display transforms the device into something truly interactive. Now communication can continue from the frame as you then forward photos on from your daughter to your brother. Growney says, ‘We didn’t want somebody to have to leave the frame to go to a PC just to send a photo; we let them send it right from the frame…what we’ve done is connect the analog version of sharing, our physical frames, with the online richness of being able to basically deliver photos or other digital images within minutes covering thousands of miles very seamlessly.’
Vizit is the first two-way photo sharing frame with enhanced interaction. As photos arrive on the frame within minutes from a friend’s email or MMS, the Vizit user can then reply directly from the frame’s touchscreen or share that photo onto other friends or family members, continuing the cycle of communication. In addition, each Vizit’s photo account on VizitMe.com allows for the remote and secure management of the frame.
Isabella Products’ Growney is being honored this evening in Chicago for the 2010 P10NEERs presented by Connected World magazine.
