The position is responsible for managing marketing strategy and implementation, product positioning in the marketplace, and corporate communications across the organization. Tasks include developing and executing marketing programs that build Awareness, Interest, Decision, and Action and support sales and customer retention strategies.
This position reports to the Director of Marketing and Communications and supports cross-business unit initiatives, plan development, and delivery for the education and consumer sectors.
Duties and Responsibilities
Provide expertise and contribute to the strategic development and creative execution of all marketing programs.
Develop and implement marketing campaigns, tracking and analyzing for effectiveness and improvement in order to meet company goals, with a specific focus on digital marketing strategies for lead generation.
Identify new marketing channels and opportunities based on the understanding of the company’s target markets and product demographics.
Support the development of, and bring consistency to, all brand-building activities, including public relations, corporate communications, and off and online marketing.
Develop and own marketing content and tools for company websites, social media, and direct response.
Demonstrate core subject matter and target market expertise, develop corporate communications/ press materials and act as a spokesperson to customers, prospects, media and analysts.
Work with product management to drive revenue and sustain a company leadership position in the marketplace.
Understand company revenue and profit objectives and track progress against goals.
Develop and adhere to project goals, schedules, budgets, and delivery deadlines. Effectively manage outside vendors.
B.S. or B.A. from an accredited university; major/concentration in marketing and/or communications preferred, MBA or current MBA candidate a plus.
3-5 years professional experience in Marketing, Product Management, Marketing Communications or similar experience required; working in an entrepreneurial/start-up environment a plus.
Complete MS Office Suite, Email Campaign software; Graphics software (e.g., Adobe) a plus
Must have excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
Excellent research capabilities (search engine, database, trends and insights)
Strong experience in social media marketing
Must be detail-oriented and possess a high level of organization
Highly motivated and disciplined, must thrive in a team environment, must project manage effectively
