Dan brings over 25 years of experience as a distinguished member of the mobile device and product design communities with significant product development capabilities and resources for successive product plans. Dan spent 17 years with Motorola in design leadership positions, including design director for mobile devices as well as heading Motorola’s Advanced Concepts Lab in Boston. He holds 49 design and utility patents related to computer, medical device and wireless communication equipment and has won numerous design awards. Dan is an affiliate of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) Media Lab and has lectured at MIT and Harvard on product design related topics. Dan served as Vice President of Design at Reebok where he introduced user experience design processes focused on unmet market needs and emerging opportunities and technologies. He also managed the Boston office of Chicago-based design and engineering consultancy Product Development Technologies, Inc.. Most recently, Dan was the Vice President of Product Development at Konarka Technologies where he was responsible for marketing and application development of a unique new solar material.
