Bob Growney is a Partner of Edgewater Growth Capital Partners. Edgewater Funds is a premier private equity firm based in Chicago, Illinois with over $1 billion in capital under management. They structure both growth equity (minority) and buyout investments to accommodate the needs of each investment situation.

Prior to joining Edgewater, Bob was President, Chief Operating Officer, and Vice Chairman of Motorola, Inc. In addition to his responsibility for Motorola’s $30 billion global operation, Bob oversaw Motorola’s minority equity portfolio of 240+ companies. After he joined Motorola in 1966, Bob held a variety of managerial positions during his long tenure with the company. At various times throughout his career, he had direct responsibility for the Radio Technologies Group; Paging and Telepoint Systems Group; Paging and Wireless Data Group; and the Messaging, Information, and Media Sector.

Bob earned both his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and his M.B.A. from the Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago where he now serves as Executive Committee Member of the Board of Trustees. Additionally, he is Chairman of the Oversight Board for IIT’s Stuart Graduate School of Business.
